Last year I did some research on images of the pygmies, in history and today. I will write more about it in the future. I found that, on the internet, what is most found are movies of groups op pygmies dancing around on a village square. Een jaar geleden heb ik ondezoek gedaan over beeldvorming over Pygmeeën, vroeger en nu. Ik zal daar binnenkort over berichten. Wat ik het meeste vond op het internet waren beelden van Pygmeeën die in het rond dansen op een dorpsplein. Hoe werkt het tentoonstellen van Anderen als beperkend/kleinerend?

Ik heb een lijstje gemaakt van elementen die altijd terugkomen: het creëren van afstand; het tonen van de Ander in kleinerende omstandigheden; éen ander zien is ze allemaal zien; niet de geëxposeerde mens maar de tentoonsteller bepaalt hoe hij in beeld wordt gebracht; de exotische Ander; de fantasie van blanke dominantie.
